Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science (TEAMS) is an annual competition for middle and high school students designed to help them discover their potential for engineering.
TEAMS sparks excitement by:
-
Providing an integrated STEM learning experience
-
Allowing students a unique inside look at problem solving from an engineer’s viewpoint
-
Increasing students’ self-confidence in solving complex problems while working on a team
-
Inspiring students to consider engineering majors and careers
The 2017 TEAMS competition, “Engineering the Environment,” will explore areas such as energy efficiency, geothermal heatpumps and wastewater treatment.
Schools and groups compete for one day during the course of the competition window, February 13 – March 19, 2017. “Best in State” awards for the highest ranking teams in each state are announced in early May. The national TEAMS competition is held at the national TSA conference, June 21-25, 2017 at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida.
